Akhisar (Thyateira) Tepe Mezarlığı Ruin II-VI Century Bazilika

The ruins which was revealed as a result of the excavations, done in Akhisar (Thyateira) ancient town in 1974-1975; it was seen in many west and south west Anatolian ancient cities in

 Roman Empire Period, a street that  surrounded with the  pillars on both sides of it  and a colossal construction with the abscissa and various functional size stretching in the west side of the street.


The North-South location and going in to the Acropolice of the ancient town, the road has got ion and Korint style heads and it is told in the ancient sources that the road which has a hundred pillars decorated with 25 eros, From the road which is known as Hekatonstyle to the abscissa construction; and the enterance is between the double pillars and the two postament, The abscissa colossal construction which was done in the late Roman Age with plaster and brick is constructed with the central nave and related places

The construction which is thought as a church according to the national and foreing aut horities is mostly like Basilica + Agora
